June wasn’t the best reading month for me. I had no five-star reads. Plus, there were even a couple of books I didn’t end up finishing because of how boring I found them. I rarely stop reading a book but in these cases I’m glad I did. Thankfully, there were still a number of books I enjoyed this month and you’ll find four new reviews below.
Camping has always been a big part of my life. As a child, my family camped a lot. I even have specific foods from my childhood that I still associate with camping (baked beans, powdered donuts, etc). In high school and college, I enjoyed camping adventures with friends. Now I get to pass my love of camping on to my children. To help prepare my kids for any new event I like to read books. Below is a list of children’s books about camping.
One thing that drives me crazy is having to repeat myself over and over. When my kids are on summer break from school they are constantly asking when an event is taking place. Do I have tennis lessons today? When are we going camping? How many more days until the State Fair? My solution this summer is to print out large monthly calendars so the family can visually see when everything is.
