My family loves a fruit pizza for any occasion. For Valentine’s Day, we’ve been making a large heart-shaped fruit pizza for years but this year I wanted to make individual mini heart fruit pizza cookies for ease of serving as an after-school snack the week of Valentine’s Day.
I started the year off strong and then sickness led me to not read a single page for over a week. I’m not sure if that has ever happened to me before but I was so miserable and in pain that even books could not bring me any comfort. This month was heavy on fantasy and romance but I hope you find a story in my book ratings below that you are excited to read.
My two youngest children are OBSESSED with Paw Patrol. Every day they spend significant time playing with their Paw Patrol toys together. Anytime we go to the library they insist on checking out Paw Patrol books even if we have read one of the stories a million times already. With birthdays close together it was a no-brainer to have a combined Paw Patrol birthday party.
This year marked our 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted to celebrate by taking our first trip away from our four kids for some much-needed rest and relaxation. When it came to picking a destination I had three requirements. I wanted an international beach destination outside of the hurricane belt. Aruba was the perfect fit! In 2024 I read more books than ever, a total of 122! I’ve started reading more paper books solely because I can only have 10 holds from the library for my Kindle at any one time, which is very limiting to me. This year I’ve made some reading self-discoveries. For example, hockey romances are SPICY and I am here for them. Also, I’m drawn to the very specific trope of a single father with a child who has an illness/disability – weird. I can’t wait to see what amazing books 2025 has to offer.
