It has taken me awhile to write this post for a few reasons. First, I was busy returning to work helping plan and coordinate a fashion show while simultaneously coming down with a terrible cold. Also, I just had a hard time facing reality and the cold after the perfect honeymoon in Costa Rica. If I ever win the lottery (which is impossible since I don’t play) we will most definitely be purchasing a vacation home in Costa Rica.
I was so lucky to be able to join my husband on his work conference trip to New Orleans. We made the trip into a little babymoon knowing that a vacation with just the two of us probably isn’t going to happen again any time soon.

For spring break this year, we decided to go to St. Louis and I’m so glad we did! We live in the Madison, WI area, making a road trip extremely manageable (only 5 hours!). We wanted a Midwest destination with plenty of activities to do with kids and where the temperature would be slightly warmer. St. Louis was the perfect spot. I would highly recommend St. Louis to anyone with kids.

This year marked our 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted to celebrate by taking our first trip away from our four kids for some much-needed rest and relaxation. When it came to picking a destination I had three requirements. I wanted an international beach destination outside of the hurricane belt. Aruba was the perfect fit! Below read all about our wonderful trip to Aruba including where we stayed, what we ate, and travel tips.

I love having a vacation to look forward to. Even if that vacation is only an hour away for a quick weekend! A couple of weeks ago we planned a short indoor water park weekend and I have to say my expectations were exceeded. It was a stress-free weekend with five adults and three toddlers. Here are my tips for planning a fun indoor water park trip of your own.
