French Toast Sticks laid on top of parchment paper inside a 9x13 pan

French Toast Sticks (+ Freezer Meal Instructions)

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Texas Toast (18 slices)
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat griddle to 350

  2. Use a serrated knife to cut each slice of bread into thirds

  3. Whisk together milk, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and eggs.

  4. Dunk a slice of bread into the milk mixture and place on the griddle.  Continue until your griddle is full.

  5. Flip each bread slice once nicely browned.

  6. Move finished slices to parchment paper.

  7. Repeat until all slices have been cooked.

  8. Once slices have cooled put the layers of parchment paper with sticks on top in a 9X13 pan (or on a cookie sheet) and put in the freezer.

  9. Freeze for about an hour then transfer to freezer bags.

  10. When ready to eat I just pop the sticks in my toaster (you may have toast them twice to get the sticks warm all the way through). Enjoy!
