In our house, we are about to embark on our homeschool preschool journey. I’m still hoping that this situation will only be for a few months and that she can attend preschool in-person soon but who knows with this crazy year? While preparing for the first months of preschool I’ve started gathering ideas for autumn crafts. Apples, pumpkins, turkeys, and more are featured in these fun fall crafts for preschoolers.

Apple Paper Plate

A perfect craft for September is this cute apple paper plate with a caterpillar coming out of the apple. Apples are the theme of our first unit so this will be a great compliment to the curriculum!

Paper Plate Apple Craft

Along those same lines, this paper plate apple craft uses red AND green paint but instead of a caterpillar, these apples have big smiley faces.

Autumn Wreath

This adorable autumn wreath uses paper plates and comes with a free printable for the leaves!

Leaf Lanterns

I know my three-year-old is going to love making leaf lanterns. Also, this craft gives me a great excuse to buy more cheese (like I need an excuse – ha!).

Handprint Tree

Kids will love using the outline of their arm and hand to form the tree trunk for this fun handprint tree craft.

Autumn Tree Painting

This post on autumn tree painting gives a bunch of great ideas to do along with the painting including book recommendations (you know I love that!). Plus, she suggests different tools for kids to use for kids while painting.

Fall Tree Craft

Preschoolers will work a lot on their fine motor skills when making this fall tree craft. Cutting, crumpling, and gluing are fun but also great for development.

Yarn Wrapped Pumpkin Garland

This craft can be used as a decoration for your house. I think we’ll string our yarn wrapped pumpkin garland from my daughter’s bookshelf for a festive look.

Fall Leaf Turkey

To make this sweet fall leaf turkey craft you can use faux leaves or real leaves. I think it would be fun to take your preschooler or toddler on a nature hunt to find the perfect leaves to use for his/her turkey!

Turkey Snack Cups

How cute are these turkey snack cups? If you don’t want your kids using hot glue to attach the pipe cleaner tail feathers I’m sure tape would work.

Tie-Dye Thanksgiving Turkey

This tie-dye Thanksgiving turkey craft includes supplies we always have on hand and I know kids will love spraying water onto the colors to make them spread.

Thanksgiving Dot Marker Picture

We are huge fans of dot markers in this household. I will definitely be printing out this Thanksgiving Dot Marker Activity for my preschooler to do!

I hope you’ve found the perfect fall craft do you with your preschoolers. Whether you are dealing with homeschooling, virtual learning, or a hybrid method this fall I wish you the best!
