Our daughter just turned four so I now feel confident in recommending gift ideas for three-year-olds. One fun aspect of three-year-olds is that their personality really starts to shine at this age. Also, the child has started to develop real interests which you can use to your advantage when selecting gifts. Does the child love to dance? If so, then maybe ballet slippers and a tutu would make great gifts. If the kid is fascinated by bugs surprise him/her with a magnifying glass, butterfly net, etc. Themed gifts are always a great way to go. I like to always add in a book that fits the theme (we’re big readers in our house). I hope this three-year-old gift guide helps you think of the perfect present.
This week I’ve been dealing with typical toddler behaviors of spitting, throwing toys, and screeching. The last thing I need are loud, obnoxious toys adding to the noise pollution in my household – I have very sensitive hearing. I was inspired to create a list of wonderful, quiet toys and activities for toddlers to enjoy. These quiet gifts for toddlers make very happy kids and parents.
We recently made the decision to homeschool our preschooler for the time being. The main reason my husband and I made this choice is because our school district has deemed it unsafe for students to have school in-person until COVID numbers go down. Also, we have a new baby on the way and want to take the extra precaution. Once we made the decision to homeschool we needed an area of the house as an organized preschool space. I thought I would share how we set up our affordable homeschool preschool space in case it would help give ideas to anyone else.
Babies receive a ton of gifts when they are born but what about the mama! She is the one who had to deal with morning (all-day!) sickness, labor, and delivery. Moms who have just given birth deserve to be showered with presents. Especially because the next few weeks will be rough-going waking every couple of hours. Here are some great gift ideas for new moms.
I just entered the third trimester of my fourth pregnancy. I have zero desire to nest. That’s just not a feeling I have ever had when pregnant, BUT I am a planner. It is important for me to be organized before a new baby arrives to help the transition go as smoothly as possible. As a list maker, I thought I would share my third trimester to-do list for any other pregnant mamas it may help. A free printable third trimester checklist is included at the end of the post.
