Monthly reviews and recommendations about books I am reading plus movies guides on various topics.

I think this might be the most books I have ever read in a month. Certainly, the most books in a month I have ever given an “Excellent” rating to, so I hope you are able to find something that interests you! In this month’s book reviews you’ll find a few mystery and horror sprinkled in because the month of October calls for it.

Halloween is such a fun holiday. Tons of candy, costumes, and no stress! Here are some children’s books about Halloween that my kids have enjoyed.

September was by far the month in which I read the fewest books, even though it didn’t feel that way to me. I’m definitely getting into fall-themed reading with mysteries and books featuring witches. But as always, I try to review a variety of genres to keep it interesting. I hope you find a book review below that catches your interest.

August was a month of high highs (a five-star book!) and low lows. I read a number of depressing, sad books that weren’t very fun but variety is the spice of life. I’m a person who needs variety and I like to provide variety to my readers as well. You’ll certainly find that in my book reviews below. I hope you find a title that sparks your interest.

July was a rare month in which I didn’t have a five-star read. I read a number of books that I quite enjoyed and do recommend (see ratings and reviews below!) but there wasn’t one that stood above the rest. This month’s book reviews are full of popular beach reads and some great historical fiction. I hope you find your next read from the list below.
