Registering for baby bath items can be fun and one of the easier categories to make selections for. Bathing stuff tends to be less expensive than other baby registry categories so it is less stressful picking out the “perfect” baby bath products. If something doesn’t work out you can always try something else at a reasonable price but here are my recommendations after having three babies.

Many baby bathtubs are only for infants and do have the nice feature of folding up, but we still use this bathtub all the way until the baby is one! I love it. It is very affordable and easily transitions from newborn to baby to toddler. You use less water than if you had to fill up your whole bathtub and it helps contain the child (especially if you have a wild one).
Don’t go overboard registering for bath toys because almost anything can become a bath toy. My husband uses a soup ladle to rinse our daughter’s hair and she likes to play with it. Kids will play with anything in the water. Measuring cups from the kitchen make great bath toys too!
Below are a few bath toys that our kids have really enjoyed playing with for a long time.
These washcloths are so soft and get softer each time I wash them. We were given a different brand of washcloths as a gift and hated them because of how thin they were. The bamboo washcloths have a wonderful thickness and can really help scrub the crusty food from your child’s hair once he/she starts eating solids.
Over the years we have bought a handful of different brands of baby soap. My favorite that we now use all the time is this shampoo and wash. No matter what soap you end up selecting make sure it has a pump!
This is a necessary baby item. I love that our bath toy organizer came with two organizers because we already need to add the second one. It also comes with extra hooks which we use for our loofahs – bonus!
Any hooded towels will do. I would register for two or three. Our cutest hooded towels were sewn by family members so don’t register for these if you think someone might make you a few.
After a bath, part of our nighttime routine is to brush our girls’ hair. This brush is perfect for going through wet hair without any tangles.
Unfortunately, once we moved our bathtub spout cover didn’t fit our new house’s bathtub spout. If you have a normal-sized bath spout I would recommend getting a cover to protect your child’s help from any accidental bumps.
