
I recently was able to tag along on my husband’s work conference trip to New Orleans. I hadn’t been to New Orleans since I was a little girl and the only parts of that trip I remember are the beignets and feeding alligators on a swamp tour. Going back to NOLA as an adult was great and I would go back again in a heartbeat.
Most of the trip I was by myself since Alex was at his conference so I tried to keep myself entertained without spending a ton of money. Mission accomplished! Here are some of my recommendations for things to do in New Orleans for very little money;

The second trimester of pregnancy is usually the best. The morning sickness (or all-day sickness) is typically gone. You will probably start announcing your pregnancy to your friends and family. Also, you’re not yet huge, swollen, and completely over being pregnant. I realize that every woman is different and this isn’t always the case but for most, second trimester kind of rocks. I love to host parties. I love to host parties for selfish reasons; all the guests come to me and I can drink as much as I want since I don’t need to drive afterward. Also, I get to pick the food to serve that I enjoy eating in case there are leftovers. Lastly, planning is my forte. Recently, I threw my sister’s bridal shower and thought I would pass along some suggestions for planning a bridal shower without spending a lot of money.
Between my month-long hospital stay, recovery, and the overall bleakness of winter I have had some time to watch and re-watch a lot of my favorite television shows. Enjoy!
