Messy Mallow Bars

A new twist on the classic summer treat - s'mores. This easy dessert recipe will satisfy your s'more craving with a graham crust, marshmallow filling, and chocolate chips. These bars are so good you will quickly need to make a second batch!

Servings 12 bars

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups graham crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks butter melted
  • 13 oz marshmallow creme
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Golden Graham cereal & mini marshmallows (Optional Toppings)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Line a 9x13 pan with aluminum foil.

  3. Spray the foil with non-stick baking spray.

  4. In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the sugar and graham crumbs.

  5. Add the melted butter to the graham mixture and stir together.

  6. Press half of the graham mixture into the bottom of the pan.

  7. Spoon the marshmallow creme as evenly as possible onto the graham crust.

  8. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the marshmallow creme.

  9. Distribute the remaining half of the graham mixture over the chocolate chips.

  10. Optional: Add a topping. I typically top the bars with mini marshmallows and Golden Graham cereal.

  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

  12. Let cool for at least 10 minutes. If you cut the bars now they will be extremely sticky and messy.

  13. For cleaner cut bars refrigerate the pan for a number of hours before slicing.
