My children are all fans of the Trolls movies so when my daughter requested a Trolls-themed birthday party I knew it would be a hit. I like to keep my kids’ birthday parties easy and inexpensive. Below are ideas for Trolls birthday invitations, decorations, favors, and more.

I always make our birthday party invitations on Canva because it is fast and cheap. After whipping up a quick design I print the invitations on photo paper and mail them out the same day.
My daughter chose not to have a class party this year. Instead, she wanted to go on a trip to one of our favorite places.
When decorating, I try to go with a “less is more” motto to create less waste. I always try to reuse items from past parties (such as the “Happy Birthday” banner) and buy items that can serve multiple purposes (the cake toppers are now toys my kids play with).
This might have been the first birthday party where I didn’t make a layered cake. This strawberry crunch cake was super easy to make ahead of time and delicious! The only change I made was to color the frosting pink.
I did make two cakes to ensure there was enough for everyone. One I decorated with these edible flowers and the other with a rainbow cake topper plus Trolls figurines.
My daughter’s school does not allow any sweet treats for birthdays so instead we brought class favors. Using inspiration and the free printable from Sara J Creations we made cute troll kits for each student.
Then for the family birthday party, we put Trolls tattoos, coloring sheets, and snap bracelets into reusable Trolls bags. All of these items we found at our local Dollar Tree store.
Don’t forget to play great music from the Trolls movies during the party! For more birthday party inspiration, check out the following posts;
