Now that my daughter is almost 18 months I feel I have a good grasp on what makes the perfect gift for a 1-year-old. I always struggle with gift-giving, especially when it comes to children and what toys are appropriate for what ages. The suggested ages on the packaging are always wrong. I hope some of you are able to benefit from my new-found knowledge of what makes the best gifts for a 1-year-old.
Do babies really need all this stuff? No, not exactly but a lot of these items can definitely make a parent’s life easier and a baby much happier! Make sure to add these gear (travel, play, development, etc) items to your baby registry because they tend to be on the more expensive side and you’ll be surprised at what your generous family and friends are willing to buy you.
Babies require a lot of stuff. You need items for bathing the baby, feeding the baby, clothing the baby, etc. Besides the necessities, it is important to remember that new parents have needs too! Your life is going to be turned upside down so don’t feel bad about registering for some items that will improve your quality of life.
Gift giving stresses me out. I just want to know what would make the person I am shopping for the happiest and get that. The trouble is, not everyone always gives you ideas and would prefer to be “surprised”. That’s when I scour Pinterest for gift guides. I hope my gift guide for two-year-olds helps some of you feel less stress when buying presents.
You probably thought this post was going to be sentimental and that I was going to have an answer such as my children or my husband (which are both true) but that’s not the response I’m going to give.
