Truth – I used to eat maraschino cherries straight from the jar as an after-school snack. I’m sure my mother didn’t know. Truth – On occasion, I STILL eat maraschino cherries straight from the jar. I can’t help it! I love them. These loaves of mini cherry chocolate chip bread are perfect to give as Valentine’s gifts or to keep and eat for yourself. I find that by making mini bread loaves I am better able to portion-control instead of devouring it all immediately.
Are you looking for the perfect kid-friendly Valentine’s Day dessert? This heart-shaped fruit pizza is tasty, easy to make, and has at least some healthy ingredients. This heart fruit pizza has a sugar cookie crust, cream cheese “sauce”, and fruit as toppings. Fruit pizza can be enjoyed at any time of year but when you cut it into a heart shape and color the frosting pink it makes a great Valentine’s Day treat.
These cookies couldn’t be more simple – three ingredients, three easy steps, and no baking!! I absolutely love Haystack Cookies and always make them during the holiday season. Now I’m wondering why I don’t make them more often throughout the year? The key for me with these cookies is to store them in the refrigerator. They taste so much better cold!
A number of my dedicated blog readers have been requesting meal planning ideas. Since meal planning is actually one of my own dreaded weekly chores, I completely understand the demand for family meal plans. I hope to add at least one week of planned out dinners (and a dessert!) each month. Also, a free printable grocery shopping list is available to my e-mail subscribers (see below!).
When it comes to food, I am a child. This morning I had chocolate milk and a single serving of chocolate cake in a mug. I told my daughter that both were “coffee”. Sugar is my addiction and desserts are my game. Here I’ve taken two very simple and fun desserts that I love and combined them. Dirt Cake plus Rice Krispie Treats! If I love these Dirt Cake Rice Krispie Treats I promise your kids will too.
