Introducing Baby Cora!

To Breastfeeding

done feeding

Oh, breastfeeding!

We’ve made it one year

Through pain, ease, and nutrition

Let’s give a cheer

But I’m done now, I’m through

I shrunk while my baby grew

Goodbye my boobs, goodbye my bum

It wasn’t always easy, it wasn’t always fun

Oh breastfeeding, I will miss the close bond

But when baby cried at night, it was me who always had to respond

I won’t miss the hair pulling nor biting nor leakingĀ

Now it is time for my baby to learn independent feeding

I want to throw the pump away

I promise it will be okay

I want to wear any type of clothes I want

So I won’t have to worry how to nurse in a restaurant

Oh breastfeeding, I thank you

But my body is now mine again

At least for the time being

To part ways with you is very freeing
