Welcome to the new year! I hope one of your goals this year is to read more books. As always, I will add four book reviews a month and rate them so you can choose what should be next on your must-read list. If you have any books you think I should read please let me know in the comment section!

Best Reads of 2019

I had a great reading year. I didn’t keep track but I know I read well over fifty books. This was in part thanks to many months of breastfeeding, my husband being the primary driver on road trips, book club, and a few audiobooks. Please note that not all of the books I chose were published this year, they are just my favorites that I read this year. Below I’ve selected my top twelve book reads of 2019, one for every month! I hope you find a book recommendation that you can’t wait to read.

Advent Calendar Fillers

I just made a pocket advent calendar for my family to use every December and I can’t wait to begin this tradition. In this post, I’ve brainstormed a number of advent calendar fillers to put in the pockets. In the 24 days leading up to Christmas, children will look forward to discovering what is in each day’s pocket. I’ve included fun activities, yummy treats, and little presents. Many of these advent calendar fillers also make great stocking stuffers!

DIY No-Sew Pocket Advent Calendar

I had been looking for a pocket advent calendar but couldn’t find the perfect one. Either the pockets were too small, the calendar too expensive, or it wasn’t the look I was going for. Instead, I created my own inexpensive, no-sew pocket advent calendar that my family can use for years to come!
