In our house, we are about to embark on our homeschool preschool journey. I’m still hoping that this situation will only be for a few months and that she can attend preschool in-person soon but who knows with this crazy year? While preparing for the first months of preschool I’ve started gathering ideas for autumn crafts. Apples, pumpkins, turkeys, and more are featured in these fun fall crafts for preschoolers.

It’s that time of year! Time to take stock of your fall and winter clothing to determine the gaps in your wardrobe. Maybe you have plenty of warm pajamas but not enough socks? Maybe you are now working from home and are in need of a lot more loungewear and fewer formal work outfits. This guide and clothing inventory checklist will help you go through your fall and winter clothes to see what your needs will be for the upcoming season. By doing a seasonal clothing inventory now you can take advantage of upcoming sales!

This week I celebrated my birthday and chose to make my own cake. Why, you ask? Because I knew exactly the kind of cake I wanted and I can be a control freak. I always love lemon desserts but rarely make them because it’s not my husband’s favorite flavor. But since it was MY birthday, I made a lemon poppy seed layer cake with lemon curd filling topped with lemon buttercream frosting. What can I say? This pregnant mama wanted lemon!

We just got back from a vacation up north and I was able to get in a lot of reading! From the long car ride to and from the trip to the beach and sitting on the porch, I tried to get in as much reading as possible. Meaning . . . I may be able to put out four more book reviews later this month. Follow me on Instagram (@planningforkeeps) if you want to be the first to know!
