Easy Weekly Meals Your Family Will Love – Week #9

I love the summer. But I don’t want huge dinners that take forever to make in a hot kitchen. That’s why this week I included skewers on the grill again plus two breakfasts for dinner, one is sweet while the other is savory. I hope you enjoy these recipes.

If you sign up for my monthly newsletter (directly below) you’ll receive free access to the accompanying grocery shopping list.

Monday – Meatless Monday

Tortellini Alfredo, Broccoli, and Italian Bread

I love tortellini, I love alfredo sauce, this recipe is a winner. Tortellini alfredo is delicious and great comfort food.

Tuesday – Slow Cooker Recipe

The whipped cream was leftover from the cream puffs, so I couldn’t let it go to waste.

Cherry Pie Oatmeal and Breakfast Sausage

Honestly, I made this recipe because I had a can of cherry pie filling in my pantry that was about to expire but we will definitely be making it again! This is the first dinner my three-year-old (who fights eating almost any dinner) had three helpings. Thumbs up for cherry pie oatmeal!!

Please note, I did not include the walnuts but if you would like them make sure to add the nuts to the grocery list.

Wednesday – Breakfast for Dinner

Bacon Egg & Cheese Brunch Bread and Sliced Peaches

This recipe is a little putzy but parts or the whole thing can be made ahead of time. I love the flavor combo and this brunch bread would be great to make for company.

Thursday – Leftovers

Friday – Family Favorites

Asian Garlic Steak Skewers with Mushrooms & Cherry Tomatoes and Watermelon

It was Father’s Day so obviously I wanted a recipe that could be grilled and would please my husband. I don’t particularly enjoy steak but these Asian garlic steak skewers were very yummy. The marinade is spot on.

Please note I did substitute ground ginger for the fresh ginger on the grocery list.

Saturday – Eat Out or Order In

Sunday – Multicultural Night

Chicken Fried Rice and Egg Rolls

I know chicken fried rice isn’t authentic but I’m still using it for multicultural night. Chicken fried rice is just a great staple recipe to pull out any time you have extra chicken, rice, and easy veggies to throw in.

Weekly Dessert

Cream Puffs

It was about time I created another recipe! I tried a recipe for cream puffs the other week and it was a miserable failure so I decided to make my own. Here is my recipe for cream puffs. The shell is very hardy so it can hold any type of filling though I went with the classic whipped cream this time.
