I am not usually a fan of salad unless it has a lot of cheese on it (usually goat cheese) but this Asian Chicken Salad I could eat every week. It reminds me of the salad I love to get at Panera Bread, the Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken. It’s so yummy! I think next time I make it I will try to add wonton strips to make my recipe even more similar.
This week I celebrated my birthday and chose to make my own cake. Why, you ask? Because I knew exactly the kind of cake I wanted and I can be a control freak. I always love lemon desserts but rarely make them because it’s not my husband’s favorite flavor. But since it was MY birthday, I made a lemon poppy seed layer cake with lemon curd filling topped with lemon buttercream frosting. What can I say? This pregnant mama wanted lemon!
Recently, I have been trying to incorporate more meatless recipes into our family dinners. First of all, it’s better for us. I very much dislike eating vegetables but I need to be eating healthier so any recipe that disguises the taste of veggies is a winner. Also, it is hard to get meat right now! I have been doing curb-side pick-up of our groceries for months and we rarely get all the meat I order. Plus, it’s predicted that the meat shortage is going to get worse. So here is my newly created (delicious and meatless!) Spinach Mushroom Goat Cheese Quiche.
I have to be honest when I’m pregnant, meal planning and cooking dinners are the last things I want to be doing. That’s why I create these family weekly meal plans. For the weeks when I do not have the time or energy to sit down and meal plan I can just pull up these planned out weekly dinners, print off the accompanying grocery list, and I am good to go. I hope these weekly meal plans make your life a little easier too!
