Monthly reviews and recommendations about books I am reading plus movies guides on various topics.
My youngest daughter took ballet this past year and it was adorable. I was a dancer from early childhood until the end of high school and I was so excited to hear that my three-year-old wanted to try ballet. Seeing her dance recital brought me an immense amount of joy. I’m not sure she’ll choose to continue with lessons in the future but I sure hope she will. Here are the ballet books we have really enjoyed reading together.
It’s back-to-school time and I like to help prep my kids by reading books. These children’s books are great to read before starting kindergarten but some are perfect for any young children! These picture books showcase the fun activities you do at school plus a few address coping skills if your child is experiencing any anxiety about starting school.
Last year before my daughter started preschool I wanted to prepare her as much as possible for the transition. I knew she would be nervous and I think the more you read about what to expect for any situation the better. Together we read through a bunch of children’s books about preschool to help prepare her.
Ugh, I missed June’s post. It turns out having four kids at home all day in summer is a lot and I get very little time to myself . . . ever. This blog is what always takes a hit when I’m busy. The reason I’m so bummed is that I have a great book recommendation this month that would have been perfect to read for Pride month. Luckily, we can read LGTBQIA+ books at any time of the year. See below to read four new book reviews for the month of July.
