One thing that drives me crazy is having to repeat myself over and over. When my kids are on summer break from school they are constantly asking when an event is taking place. Do I have tennis lessons today? When are we going camping? How many more days until the State Fair? My solution this summer is to print out large monthly calendars so the family can visually see when everything is.

I made the calendars blank so I can use them again in the future. First, we’ll fill in the dates. Then since most of my kids can’t read yet we will use these stickers and a few short words to fill out the calendars.
These big summer calendars are for the kids. I don’t want to clutter them up with starting/ending times or any information they don’t need. My appointments and anything work-related for my husband will not be written on these monthly calendars. We’ll still use our DIY dry-erase calendar for a more detailed weekly calendar.
When my children are older I’m sure our summer schedule will get a lot more complicated. That’s when I plan on transitioning to this calendar!
*I learned about engineering prints from Everyday Reading when I printed out her awesome book reading log!
I paid online (don’t forget to use Rakuten for easy cash back) and picked up my calendars at the store for less than $10!
Fingers crossed that these big summer calendars help save my summer sanity.
