Knocked Up

A drunken one night stand leads to an unexpected pregnancy between two essential strangers.  The two decide to try a relationship despite their many differences. 

Knocked Up is a very funny movie that takes you from the night of conception all the way through the birth of the baby.

 

Look Who’s Talking

Look Who’s Talking is a little different as the viewer can hear the baby’s thoughts throughout the movie but a fun one to watch nonetheless.  A single mom hires a cab driver as her babysitter while she tries to settle her love life not realizing her perfect match might be right in front of her.

 

What to Expect When You’re Expecting

A number of stories about pregnant women and their partners are interwoven in What to Expect When You’re Expecting.  This is a good movie to watch if you would like some funny takes on fatherhood. 

Storylines include adoption, pregnancy loss, twins, etc. There is even a competitive streak between two characters when a dad and son find out both their wives are pregnant at the same time.

 

Father of the Bride Part II

One of my absolute favorite movies – pregnant or not!  Plus, it’s a sequel that is just as good as the first movie (a rare occurrence).  Father of the Bride Part II makes me laugh so hard, I love it.

A daughter and mom end up being pregnant at the same time and the father/husband (Steve Martin) is having difficulty coping with the thought of being a new dad again.

 

Three Men and a Baby

Three Men and a Baby is a wonderful ’80s classic.  Three bachelors living together find a baby at their doorstep and one of them is the father!  As they struggle through learning how to care for a baby a mystery about unidentified packages is disrupting their lives.

 

Life As We Know It

When two parents of a baby unexpectedly die their two friends are named guardians.  Unfortunately, the two have disliked each other ever since an awful first date a number of years ago.  But this child needs to be raised in a family home and the guardians try to come together to develop a workable family situation.

Although Life As We Know It begins with sad circumstances the movies includes many funny and sweet parts.

 

Bridget Jones’s Baby

Not the greatest movie, but Bridget Jones’s Baby is entertaining.  It’s fun to see a woman become so completely unglued in her life.  It certainly makes you feel better about your own situations.  Bridget doesn’t know who the father of her baby is and both men want to try to be a part of her pregnancy journey.
