In 2024 I read more books than ever, a total of 122! I’ve started reading more paper books solely because I can only have 10 holds from the library for my Kindle at any one time, which is very limiting to me. This year I’ve made some reading self-discoveries. For example, hockey romances are SPICY and I am here for them. Also, I’m drawn to the very specific trope of a single father with a child who has an illness/disability – weird. I can’t wait to see what amazing books 2025 has to offer. Here (in no particular order) are my top 12 reads of 2024.

September felt like a mediocre reading month. I had high expectations for a number of the books that just fell flat. I do have a four-star review below that I think you should consider but I hope October raises the bar.
