My daughter’s birthday is in March which is the perfect time to throw a rainbow birthday party since St. Patrick’s Day makes all things rainbow even easier to find than normal. Over the years of throwing many children’s birthday parties, I’ve learned to keep things simple. The motto “less is more” is always a good one to stand by.
For this rainbow birthday party, we created a fun rainbow backdrop for opening gifts. Plus, we got a rainbow-themed decor package for a banner, tablecloth, and place settings.

It was THIS RECIPE that I got the inspiration for the cupcakes but I just used a confetti box mix instead of the rainbow batter.
At my daughter’s party with her friends, we put out all the favor bags in rainbow order. I used a piece of matching tissue paper in each bag.
For favors we gave; Skittles, Starbursts, sunglasses, slinkies, and Ring Pops.
